How do I upgrade the Virtual Appliance?

Before proceeding you will require the upgrade/patch file in an accessible location.  

Note: It is advised that patches and upgrades should only be carried out during a planned maintenance window to prevent unplanned downtime.

Log into the management interface and navigate to Settings:

Select Update System where you will then be asked to select the file to be used to upgrade the system.


Click on browse and navigate to the location of the downloaded patch/upgrade file, select OK. The file will be  uploaded and applied to the system. Once complete you will be prompted to reboot.


Select Reboot and you will be taken to the Control Centre where you can reboot the appliance. Once the reboot has been completed you should go through basic tests to verify the appliance is back in service.
